Crow (9).png

That night was long I sat there with my son. I had to think quick I was not going to let anyone else take the thrown, I have put in my blood for that chair. Morning came and I went to talk to the priest about burying my husband and what else had to be done. Once that was all set I went back to Ewain and spent the whole day with him. Months went by and things began to settle down. The kingdom was doing well, better than at any time under Uriens rule. I took care of the affairs of the kingdom, hear out grips and crimes. Ewain was happy, his tutors took care to make sure his studies we keep online, his battle training was still on a schedule and his other needs were taken care of. Time passed and we were a peaceful kingdom until the Vikings showed up. I sent one of my knights to Arthur's castle for reinforcements. I was lucky that the Vikings decided to stay on for now it seemed that they were resting this would give time for my brother to send help, but help never came and the kingdom was laid in ruins and people had lost their home and livelihood. I was so mad with Arthur how could he just let me out in the cold like that. My knight returned and found out what happens. He looked for me and my son, we had run to one of my subjects homes where we had been for a few days nursing the wounds of the knights and other subjects. Once he found me he told me my brother did not answer my letter seems he was out on a search for something, late I came to find out he was out looking for the Holy Grail. I help where I could but not having somewhere safe to be many did not have a chance to make it and the ones that did move on to other kingdoms to find new lives and homes. I went to Arthur and confronted him, told him he should have left someone behind in case someone needed help which I could have used. He turned from me I yelled that he let my people die for some stupid cup that he never found. I walked towards the carriage and took Ewain down from it. I told him I would move back to my room with my son for I was without a kingdom nor husband and a Lady like I can not be alone. I took Ewain back to my room and we set up there. Time passed and Ewain grew older he because a great knight he even joined Arthur's Knights. It was peaceful at Camelot and everything was fine until that battle where everything changed. Someone had taken the sword Excalibur from Arthur's tent and were using it against him and the knight. Many fell even Arthur, as I returned to the tent for I was the healer I saw it and it was bad. Ewain came to his rescue and hit the assailant so hard the sword flew from his hands and landed inches from Arthur. This enemy then turned and look at Ewain with his dagger he ran at Ewain and dug it deep into Ewain's chest drawing blood. I lost it and let my true power take over. The wind picked up and the sky drew black and energy surrounded me. I was showing my true form to, I was labeled a witch I could not return home now but I did not care. I let the darkness in me take over and I hit the evil knight with all my power and he was turned into ash. I ran to Ewain and Arthur sat next to them both and cried. Arthur was injured bad but Ewain was dead. I told the knight to take both bodies to the boat on the lake. I got in with them both and took them to the only place I could find help, Avalon. That my friend is the end of that life, I am ready to begin anew.
